This is one of my favorite infographics. It does a great job of relying on minimal text, allowing the imagery to speak for itself.

It would have been easy to have descriptions for each type of farm. And I provided that for the designer; however, only so he could create accurate illustrations. I made sure to note distinctive characteristics and in one or two spots, I provided links that he could emulate. Here's my note on vertical farming:

• Producing crops on stacked layers. Let’s stay reasonable here – some get into the futuristic vision of farm skyscrapers, which aren’t taken seriously by experts (crazy expensive and too many practical issues). So more this and less this!

He did a fantastic job. The illustrations are great and the copy notes help the reader understand the significance of each type of urban farming.
